Since creating the 11:11 collaboration effect in 2014, and after helping him move and clean out his studio 11AD in 2017 we have stayed in touch and become friends. Because I thought it might be cool he play his solo material in Europe, I set up a small European acoustic solo tour in 2019 where we visited various countries in Europe. This was a huge success. Such a great success that we wanted to continue this. Unfortunately, the stage closures and travel restrictions threw a spanner in the works, forcing us to postpone this for 3 years. Alain had the idea to play his Eleven songs in Europe with a second mini tour. Friends of Iron Jinn joined as band members and support act to accompany Alain Johannes to play his legendary Eleven set. Of course, this show required more than just acoustic guitars. There had to be a complete electric set with the right instruments and effects to perform his songs. I then started putting together the right arsenal of tone for these live shows. Here I made a pedalboard myself, and put together the right configuration so that it would be a good tool to perform his typical authentic sound.

The pedalboard consists of, in order of affiliation: Ernie Ball VP JR Volume Pedal, Holy Wahcamoly, Drive-0-Matic Chris Cornell, Evil MotherFuzzer (germanium fuzz), TvL Octavia, DJINN, Digitech Drop, Colossus, Digitech Freakout, Vintage DOD Octoplus, Octofuzz, Moon Canyon with in the loop before the Reverb and Delay of the Moon Canyon, the DYBBUK Univibe.

It’s powered by two Voodoo Lab power supplies where every effect is powered by isolated power plugs with the right currents. It also comes with a protection case, Pedals are all mounted with velcro on a custom made pedalboard with Flocking finish. This pedalboard was on tour so it has some damaged corners and stains.
